Nicholas Myra Of Turkey lost both of his parents when he was a young boy. He inherited all of the riches from his family. He moved to Europe in search of a better life. Some people believe that he settle in Holland and with the Dutch people that called him Sinter Klaas. Children and poor people would leave their socks or stockings out near the front door. Nicholas would leave gold & silver coins, or food, or toys on the night of Christmas Eve. The next day on Christmas morning these poor people would find there holiday gifts. After he died they made him Saint Nicholas for all of the kind Christian things that he did in his lifetime to help all of mankind and to the children that he loved so much.
